Workshop on the Project for “Innovation & Technology Promotion” For Small and Medium Enterprises in the Middle East. A one-day workshop was held on September 28, 2004 at Ramses Hilton, to consider the feasibility of launching a regional project entitled “Innovation and Technology Promotion in the Middle East” (Egypt, Jordan and Yemen). The objectives of the workshop are to obtain input for the formulation of objectives and define fields and sectors to focus on, as well as identify organizations in Egypt who can and are interested in joining in order to develop a mechanism to manage the network.

Germany and the Middle East in technology and innovation promotion is expected to improve competitiveness and stimulate free trade as well as establish business relations between both parties.
