Peter Mandelson, the European Commissioner of trade was the guest of the Federation of Egyptian European Business Association to discuss the difficulties facing the export of Egyptian products to the EU countries and how to mange them. The meeting was witnessed by Eng. Rashid Mohamed Rashid, minister of industry and foreign trade and Klaus Ebermann, the ambassador of the EU in Cairo.
Dr. Nader Riad, president of the Federation confirmed that several aspects that affects the breakthrough of the Egyptian exports to European markets, especially agricultural and food products, has been discussed and said that the meeting was attended by the 25 ambassadors of the EU countries plus the leaders of the Federation of Egyptian Business Association and the investors of new cities. The Federation has held several meetings with members of the European Commissioners, as Markus Kribiano, the European Commissioner of health and customer protection to discuss the conditions on entrance allowance of the products to the EU countries. Another meeting has been held last week with Fischer Paul, the European Commissioner of agriculture to discuss the cooperation with the Egyptian companies to advance the new follow up policies.
