This article discusses the new customs tariffs and their affects on the Egyptian economy and industries. There is no doubt that changing customs tariffs is one of factors that has affected the Egyptian industry and is linked on many levels including raw materials, production requirements, spare parts, investment equipment required for industry, and end the product. Therefore, we should review the opinions of manufacturers and producers regarding the new tariffs and its effects on the industry. The removal of customs irregularities through the new customs tariff which was recently endorsed by the government will address many of the shortcomings. The implementation of these measures will serve the industry and provide opportunities for assembling and commercial activity, said Dr. Nader Riad, advisor to People’s Assembly and Energy Committee and board member of Egyptian Federation of Industries (EFI) Chamber of Engineering Industries.
