In this article, Dr. Hani al-Hefwani, Professor of Management and Director of UAE Centre for Performance Control & Improvement, spoke about changing management and leadership within industries. Dr. al-Hefwani stressed the importance of the modern science of management as the basis for development and economic growth at the levels of individuals and factories. Dr. al-Hefwani went on to state that Egypt had many vital issues that were in the way of future success. Of these issues included Egypt’s current lack of strategic management, transparency of information from one department to another, as well as managing quality control.
