Egypt and Germany signed an investment agreement in 2005. Investment experts consider it a good step to attract more German investors to Egypt, yet the recognize agreements alone are not enough to improve a country’s investment climate. Egypt and Germany signed an investment agreement in 2005. Investment experts welcome it and consider it a good step to attract more German investors to Egypt, adding it is part of the European initiatives to boost the Egyptian industry. These experts, though, also recognize that agreements alone are not enough to improve a country’s investment climate. Indeed, they call for Egypt to pass more reforms in order to meet the complaints put forward by some foreign investors while they run or try to get a project started in Egypt.
