How to get professional and technical qualified workers to join the labor market was the topic. Some said that it was the responsibility of the state and others said that training was the responsibility of companies, plants, businessmen and investors. Labor training is a joint responsibility between the state and investors because if there are technically and professionally qualified graduates available, this will achieve a comprehensive development for the Egyptian state.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
There is an increasing gap between the outcomes of the current educational system and the requirements of the labor market. Currently in Egypt institutions only teach theoretical education therefore graduates of these schools and universities do not meet the requirements of the labor market. Therefore, the state should completely develop its educational systems, especially in the area of industry. Others state that businessmen should take on their social and investment responsibilities for building and developing technical schools to improve the skills of graduates enabling them to join the labor market. The Mubarak-Kohl Project aims at securing highly qualified technical workers and creating job opportunities for youth in plants. The initiative includes a theoretical and practical dual education system in schools and production locations.
