The interview with Dr. Nader Riad continues by addressing the necessity to secure the roads that are considered to be the arteries of domestic and foreign trade, in addition to the safety of heavy transportation, especially in relation to hazardous materials. In continuation of the last episode, we proceed with our interview with Dr. Nader Riad, engineer and industrialist. This week we address the matters in relation to the necessity to secure the roads that are considered to be the arteries of domestic and foreign trade, in addition to the safety of heavy transportation. First and foremost, Dr. Riad asserts that the state is currently heading toward the issuance of a new traffic law in order to meet the necessary requirements of the new developments. In addition, he outlines the efforts of the Ministry, whilst asserting their eagerness for development. He continues by emphasizing the need to provide and secure all means of transport through the issuance of a variety of licenses; Dr. Nader Riad goes into full detail in this regard; including the need for police escorts, and the installation of devices, whilst specifically modifying the transportation vehicle to meet the requirements of the material. He further expresses the need for the transportation of hazardous materials to be covered under an insurance policy. Moreover, he outlines the aspects of the traffic law, along with its benefit in providing and guaranteeing road safety and security; minimizing the obstacles faced by transportation.
