The general division at the Supply Investigations Department seized a workshop which was producing counterfeit fire extinguishers in Matariya. It was revealed that the owner of the workshop was collecting old extinguishers, refurbishing them with false commercial brands of well-known international companies. The general division at the Supply Investigations Department seized a workshop which was producing counterfeit fire extinguishers in Matariya. It was revealed that the owner of the workshop was collecting old extinguishers, refurbishing them with false commercial brands of well-known international companies. It became known that he reproduces the quality marks of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and then sales his counterfeit products on the markets. The owner was arrested and prosecuted, and served four days in jail pending the investigation. The seizure was a major crackdown carried out by the general division at the Supply Investigations Department, headed by Major General Mustafa Amer Assistant Minister of the Interior and the division head. The investigation revealed that the suspect, Emad Tadros, has been running a large workshop manufacturing counterfeit goods in Matariya.
