To have excellent industry and development we must be qualified to deal with accidents and fire at workplaces. It is very important to know and be experienced and trained in how to put off fire scientifically to control it and limit its consequences. Fire can destroy everything in an industrial facility and leave casualties. ( Available in Arabic )
Fire control was the theme of a seminar held at the Mechanic Engineers Association (MEA), entitled Technology Control on Fire, Accidents & Hazards and Emergency Planning, under supervision of Eng. Mustafa Mohamed Ramadan, board member of the MEA. The seminar discussed many papers submitted by members. One of these papers was presented by Dr. Eng. Nader Riad, entitled Hazard Exacerbating Phases in Building Fires. Dr. Riad emphasizes the importance of some precautions that must be available to face the hazards of fires in buildings and different facilities, such as exits, smoke control, alarming systems, foam extinguishers, automatic fire extinguishers, means of breaking, and fire control at facilities of special nature. These precautions must be proportionate with the size and importance of the building as well as the number of occupants and the nature of use.
