Although the government has introduced many reforms to the economic fields in the form of reduction of taxes and tariffs on products, tax exemptions have hovered between attempts to cancel, rationalize or maintain them. This article discusses exemptions and how they are considered incentives and privileges permitted by law to enhance the investment atmosphere to attract more local and foreign capital to start new projects in Egypt. This mechanism would also provide employment opportunities to the youth. However, some have abused these exemptions, sparking wide controversy among investors and economic experts.(Available in Arabic –German in PDF )
