Dr. Saad Nassar and Dr. Mahmoud Badr submitted a working paper entitled “Egyptian Agriculture’s Boom”. The working paper that was submitted by Dr. Mahmoud Abo Sadira discussed the ideological frame for promoting tourist services’ levels in Egypt, while the working paper presented by the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) revolved around the proposed strategy for the Egyptian industry in the upcoming phase. The Ministry of Military Production submitted a working paper regarding means of encouraging and attracting investments to Egypt. (Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
The paper submitted by Dr. Saad Nassar and Dr. Mahmoud Badr discussed the achievements of the Ministry of Agriculture since the beginning of the 1980s till 1995. It also highlighted the state’s keenness on social dimensions and softening the impacts of the economic reform. The paper presented by Dr. Mahmoud Abo Sadira discussed adopting comprehensive policies as an obligatory document for all ministries and official bodies in order to bring about the required balance between the tourism sector and the rest of the state’s sectors. The paper stressed the necessity of carrying out a legislative study to review and amend tourism laws, accelerate the formation of the tourism data network and adopt the up-to-the-minute techniques in tourism activation and marketing. The paper presented by FEI discussed a strategic vision for the Egyptian industry in the upcoming period. It stressed that the Egyptian economy undergoes a self-propelled stage, as was defined in President Hosni Mubarak’s speech before the People’s Assembly and Shura Council on December 16th, 1995 and his speech at the opening of the Cairo Economic Conference on November 10th, 1996. The Ministry of Military Production submitted a working paper about means of encouraging and attracting investments to Egypt. The paper included a special vision for encouraging investments to push the development process forward through interlaced procedures and policies. Citizens should lead a decent life and live in an environment that encourages work and innovation. This is all contingent upon the good management of society and the efficiency of officials, in order to bring about the economic boom.
