The German Minister of Economy’s visit to Egypt brought about positive results, as it boosted bilateral relations and showed German businessmen’s interest in working with their Egyptian counterparts. A significant joint project between the two countries was a tower which was inaugurated during the visit and hosted the meetings between the Egyptian and the German delegations. Egypt’s prime minister also called on German stock companies to take part in the Egyptian government’s plan for increasing the production of electricity. Energy is indeed one of the sectors the Germans are particularly interested in, in addition to IT, car parts and others. Another important factor attracting German investments is cadres qualified to deal with German industrial technologies and management techniques. For this reason, the two ministers agreed to sign an agreement between the German University and the German Arab Chamber to establish a post-graduate course in industrial management.
