This document discusses how to preserve agricultural land and to manage urban growth in Egypt by means of : the relationship between population and development – The party trends: to admit realities and activate available potentials. ( Available in Arabic )
The Government has tried hard to move forward with the policy of establishing new urban communities, to provide housing alternatives outside the Valley and Delta, to reduce the demand for using agricultural land for construction , in fact the government all along the past years has invested in the new communities for about 21 billion pounds, and the private sector has supported this effort of the government to pump more investments in these communities reaching to about 35 billion pounds in the sectors of housing and production activities.
