Dr. / Yosri Dabous’ working paper on “the objectives and the roles of associations of consumer protection in the rationalization of consumption,” the paper addressed the issue through several main axes: the objectives of consumer protection – the role of consumer protection in the rationalization of consumption, saving and the development of consciousness – the role of official organizations in the rationalization of consumption energy, water and pesticides – the identification of determinants affecting the role of the Society for the Protection of the consumer – to identify the obstacles that impeded the functioning of the Society for the Protection of the consumer. Paper discussed some of the measures of the effectiveness of the complementary role of governmental and non-governmental organizations in rationalizing the consumption of resources and possibilities available to the Egyptian society : -wasteful use of groundwater wells, since the exploitation of water per well to increase the proportion of salt in water – non-wasteful car washing, stairs, lorry parks and workshops the street is the use of clean water is not in place – proper management of rainwater – fixtures and wiring to proper health and its impact on the maintenance of waste water – non-use of hoses for irrigation should follow the drip irrigation system – the use of sewage after purification and processing of fish farming in plants – rain water can be grouped(as is happening in Florida), the highest houses and tanks used in the spray in the laundry and flush.
