A comprehensive integrated system for fire protection is required through private insurance companies. Industrial security at 10th of Ramadan is a priority among investors. The issues have been raised numerous times before. Factories in the City amount to more than 750 and all are threatened by the risk of fire. A comprehensive integrated system for fire protection through private insurance companies is required. Training personnel is essential. Licensing granted to factories must have their security measures verified with a systematic follow-up to maintain this license. It is an obligation of the Civil Defence to inspect the premises. An average of 50-70 fire extinguishers should be present and at least one third of the personnel in each factory should be trained in dealing with fires. Currently 10th of Ramadan City lacks proper water networks, fire brigades close to industrial and residential zones and automatic alarm systems in factories.
