With an absolute majority, Dr. Eng. Nader Riad has been elected as the Head of the Arab Federation for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in its next session 2015-2018. This was conducted in the meeting of the Federation General Assembly held on the twentieth of September 2014 in the Egyptian Industries’ Federation in the presence of the General Assembly members – both founders and employees – in addition to a number of Arab countries’ councilors.(Available in Arabic- German in PDF)
The elections – which witnessed a large turnout – resulted in the winning of each of the following the position of the Federation Vice-President: Dr. Mohamed Attia Al Fayoumi (Egypt) – Ezzat Aziz Moawad (Egypt) – Dr. Brak Nasser Al Noon (Kuwait) – Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Said Badeb (Saudi Arabia) – Dr. Abd Al Hadi Al Hamdani (Yemen). The appointment of Eng. / Talaat Zayed was renewed as the Secretary-General of the Federation. The following won the membership of the Board of Directors: Ambassador Essam Al Baram (Iraq) – Abdullah Badi’ Matar (Lebanon) – Dr. Firas Snofy (Syria) – Lubna Nadeem (Jordan) – Fathi Khatab (Palestine) – Huda Omar Al Farah (Palestine) – Abdul Wasaa Hayel Saeed (Yemen) – Mediaman Moustafa Mohamed Fanous (Libya) – Dr. Najat Al Brahmi (Tunisia) – Baya Mohamed Balkhair (Algeria) – Samira Al Hawary (Morocco) – Councilor Tarek Omar Abbas (Sudan) – Dr. Hind Baghvar (Saudi Arabia) – Mubarak Hamoud (Kuwait) – Sheikha Hind Al Qasimi (UAE) – Major General Dr. Abdul Quddos Abdul Raziq (UAE) – Abdullah Al-Sharif (Saudi Arabia) – Walid Al Habsi (Oman) – Majdi Gameel (Egypt) – Osama Al Shafei (Egypt) – Dr. Sayed Rashad (Egypt ) – Mary Garas (Egypt).
