The article discussed one of the priorities of the industrial infrastructure that the Egyptian Industry needs to be able to raise up, i.e., the Egyptian Iron and Steel factory owned wholly by the state as it is the balance point in iron and steel industry because what it owns exclusively regarding whatever capacities that aren’t available for other factories. The article emphasized the necessity of working for a number of axes to modernize the factory production lines in order not to stop production including one that is an urgent plan, to start immediately in the procedures of export of 300 thousand tons and maintenance of the batteries of the coke company destroyed currently – execution of a five years plan to develop and modernize lines of production depending on a German technology.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF)
The article introduced the start of the factory’s activity which coincides with Egypt’s manufacturing plan that was adopted by Dr. Aziz Sadky, under the rule of president, Gamal Abdel Nasser, by means of a German technology and it doesn’t live long for termination of the German party alternative relationships between both parties, a number of nearly 13000 employee works in the factory and thousands of Egyptian industries use its products as a basic entrance to their products, the factory exports as well nearly 20% of its product abroad. The article indicated that the giant industrial building suffers currently from the urgent need to modernize its product lines and stepping forward to progress and using most sophisticated technology, in order not to stop production and this via a number of important axes represented in: Starting immediately in the procedures of importing 300 thousand tons of coke coal to avoid the breakdown of the blast furnaces, performing a five years plan to develop and modernize production lines depending on a German technology in consider of the importance of time element in achieving the technical and technological restructuring and stepping forward to qualify the technical staff and providing it with laboratories of production follow up and quality measures.
