This article discusses the General Assembly of the Arab Union for the Protection of Copyrights decision to elect Dr. Nader Riad as the Chairman. In these discussions, participants witnessed very heated debate between the candidates, which lasted for 6 hours. In the end, victory was won to Dr. Mohamed Attia Al Fayoumi, Counselor Mohamed Hazem Moussa, and Mohamed Ali Hafez.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
This article discusses the General Assembly of the Arab Union for the Protection of Copyrights decision to elect Dr. Nader Riad as the Chairman. In these discussions, participants witnessed very heated debate between the candidates, which lasted for 6 hours. In the end, victory was won to Dr. Mohamed Attia Al Fayoumi, Counselor Mohamed Hazem Moussa, and Mohamed Ali Hafez. In his first speech to the members, Dr. Riad stressed the importance of laying out an ambitious program fro the Unions second term. In addition to this, he expressed the need to develop and implementing copyrights in order to have the Arab Member States benefit from a local and regional point of view. These actions would ultimately create a larger economic and social climate that will help to promote business within the region.
