Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt have failed to achieve the goals they were supposed to aim to, such as reducing unemployment. A national plan should be charted to tackle all the obstacles and shortcomings which have led to this failure. A team of experts from different fields should also be formed to create integration among SMEs and try to solve their problems. (Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt have failed to achieve the goals they were supposed to aim to, such as reducing unemployment. Among the obstacles faced by these industries and responsible for this failure was poorly-qualified workforce and technological shortcomings. A national plan should be drawn up to tackle these deficiencies. A team of experts from different fields should also be formed to create integration among SMEs and amend the laws concerning these kind of industries. A database should also be created to contribute solving all the problems facing SMEs, such as those relating to financial support and taxes.
