This article discusses the scientific and research centers throughout Egypt. Engineer Rashid Mohamed Rashid, Minister of Trade and Industry, believes that scientific research is the engine which would enable us to achieve comprehensive development on an economic, social, political, scientific and human level. Khaled Abdel Azim, General Manager for the Egyptian Federation of Industries, believes that the Federation has taken positive steps to make use of the existing research centers, in order to enhance the competitiveness of some of its productive units inside the industrial companies. The Federation has signed a protocol of cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering in Cairo University to get the Faculty to provide research services to the industrial sectors.
