President Hosni Mubarak opened the annual conference of the National Democratic Party, which was held from 25 – 9-28-2003 under the slogan „New philosophy and the rights of the citizen“ .( Available in Arabic )
Thursday saw the first public meeting addressed by Mr. Gamal Mubarak, Secretary of policy, report on issues and policies addressed by the Supreme Council of the policies and subcommittees, he discussed during the conference over three days , papers on citizenship and democracy – to preserve agricultural land and urban growth trends – the present and the future of the transport sector in Egypt, as well as policy papers – Education and scientific research – economic orientation – Health and population – young people – women – Egypt and the world. At the conclusion of the conference, President Hosni Mubarak gave a speech in which he confirmed the permanent care of the National Democratic Party to protect the rights of the people especially the middle-income and limited income classes, he added that this Conference was the culmination of an entire year of hard work and painstaking efforts made by the Party and all of its members for the development of new thinking the place of the application on the ground and was translated into the mechanism of action not confined to the internal development of the party and means, in the foremost , the formulation of a clear exposure to the problems of concern to the public credibility and courage.
