This article discusses the components that are needed for tackling the redevelopment of technical and engineering education in Egypt in order to modernize Egypt’s national industry. Dr. Riad stated what Egypt lacks in order to obtain appropriate graduates for technical work is the application of an academic accrediting system for curricula, teachers, laboratories and workshops. The role of educational and pedagogic institutions should focus on preparing a generation that is capable of dealing with the coming century and absorbing modern technology and knowledge through globalization, GATT, and contemporary mechanisms.
