Professor / Mohamed Abdel-Latif, submitted a working paper on “ Associations strengthening consumer protection .“ the paper dealt with a number of principles that must be included within the recommendations of the Conference, such as: for committees and sub-committees to emanate from in all governorates, these are to be representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and a representative of the General Committee for Consumer Protection and Preservation – the work of these committees is to follow up the decisions of the Conference and implement them. The paper stated a number of principles being: for committees and sub-committees to be held in all governorates, these are to representatives of the Chamber of Commerce ,and a representative of the General Committee for Consumer Protection and preservation, a catering director to maintain the work of these committees follow up the resolutions of the Conference and the implementation of its recommendations – these are to be chaired by the Chairman of the Chamber of commerce – the work of these committees is to be set down in a monthly report to be submitted to the Secretariat of the Conference – the Conference will be held once every year to follow up reports of the sub-committees – its decision is to be binding to all executive agencies – the sub-committees act as the judicial police communication – these committees are to oversee the consumer associations and are involved in the management of the associations.
