In this week’s issue, Engineer and Industrialist, Dr. Nader Riad discusses the importance of having fire safety policies and procedures at all industrial factories throughout the world. Dr. Riad is also head of the German Industrial Federation (BVFA) and is fully aware of the most common types of factory fires. Of these fire types, most are commonly started by carbonaceous materials, liquid gases, combustible materials leaked under pressure, as well as powdered-based materials and food oils.
