At the general assembly of the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC), high-level personalities from Egypt and Germany stressed Egypt’s desire to strengthen its cooperation with Germany in several economic fields. In this regard, the German ambassador in Cairo said Egypt should indeed boost its relations with the whole European Union, not only with his country, in light of the EU recent expansion.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
At the general assembly of the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC), high-level personalities from Egypt and Germany had their say on future prospects of cooperation between the two countries. Egypt’s minister of industry and technological development stressed his country’s sincere intention to strengthen its relations with Germany in the fields of industry, design, technology and more. In this regard, he praised the role played by the GACIC to achieve this goal. For his part, Mahmoud Mohieldin said the Egyptian economy had improved as confirmed by some international reports, yet more remained to be done to cut interest rates and create new job opportunities. The German ambassador in Cairo called on Egypt to strengthen its relations not only with Germany, but indeed with the whole European Union, especially after the EU recent expansion.
