A German report sheds light on Egypt’s significant economic growth recently, and expects this growth to continue at least in the near future. The sectors mainly contributing to this rise are exports, industry and tourism. The report gives a clear picture of the Egyptian economy, thus encouraging German enterprises to enjoy the improving business climate in this Arab country and to invest in the Egyptian industry, construction, exports and other sectors. Yet, the report also highlights some of the problems still facing investments and the economy, mainly bureaucracy, judicial slowness and the informal economy, which actually constitutes an important slice of the Egyptian GDP. Some important Egyptian and German businessmen have their say on the report and the Egyptian economy, along with President Mubarak’s visit to Germany and its role to boost German investors‘ confidence in Egypt’s business climate.
