Germany is considered the most influencing and influenced country, within the European unity, by Middle East problems, due to the confidence of Arab countries in Germany, on one hand, and the size of its economic transactions with Arab countries, on the other. ( Available in Arabic )
At present, questions are revolving on Germany’s leading and renewable role within the framework of the European unity and at the internal level. Internally, a recent programme has been submitted under the title “New Government = New Management”, aiming at introducing all governmental services on the Internet. There is also the “Transparency Law”, which is a code of honour that serves as a guide for major companies. Immigration & Nationality Law was enacted last March and tackles problems of immigration and nationality. The German government is also involved in the “Dialogue of Cultures”. It is noteworthy that Germany has held the loudest voice within the European community for not launching a war against Iraq.
