A conference on occupational health stressed the need to pay attention to security and occupational health. In this regard, Mr. Riad stresses the role that a union of insurance companies should play in dealing with the risks and damages at work and, more generally, in both private and public life. A conference on security, safety and occupational health called for paying more attention to safety in all aspects of life. In one of his studies, Mr. Riad stresses that the civil society – and in particular unions of insurance companies – should play a greater role in dealing with the risks and dangers in the industrial and service sectors and, more generally, in both private and public life. He then puts forward his recommendations to strengthen this role; among other things, such unions should contribute to making sure that factories abide by standard production specifications and safety measures.
