On February 22, 2000, the Egyptian and German presidents signed an agreement on forming the Egyptian German Business Council. Under the agreement, the German Near and Middle East Associations will coordinate the work of the German side while the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce will coordinate the work of the Egyptian side.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF)
On February 22, 2000, the Egyptian and German presidents signed an agreement on forming the Egyptian German Business Council. Under the agreement, the German Near and Middle East Associations will coordinate the work of the German side while the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce will coordinate the work of the Egyptian side. Another agreement was signed in May 18, 2004 to activate the council’s role. The council’s board of directors included Egyptian prominent figures such Nader Riad, Ibrahim Mahleb, and Sameh Sawiris.
