Mr. Peter Mendelssohn is Egypt and will meet with Dr. Ahmed Nazif, The Prime Minister and Eng. Rashid Mohamed Rashid Minister of Trade and Industry. He will discuss with the Egyptian officials the future of relations between Egypt and the European Union within the framework of neighborhood policy and the Euro- Mediterranean partnership. He emphasized that his visit to Egypt represents an important opportunity for European an Egyptian sides to discuss the growing relations. ( Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
Discussions took place over the current situation of the European market and future realistic prospects for the year 2010, along with discussing constraints that maybe faced by exports, ways to remove these obstacles and ensure strong structures are put in place to provide support to the Egyptian companies in overcoming them, also discussed was the modernization of industry and how best to support exports and exchange programs and ways to help the Egyptian industry in harmony with the European specification.
