He stresses the necessity of providing every single home with such a device, and recalls the success of the new traffic law in reducing car fires by introducing such a preventive measure. Renowned Egyptian industrialist, Dr. Nader Riad, underlines the importance of fire extinguishers. He says most Egyptian industrialists and individual professionals do keep them in their workplaces, while this is not compulsory in every single house, yet. Dr. Riad, though, stresses the necessity of introducing such a preventive measure, especially for houses located in high-located places with narrow streets. In this regard, he recalls the new traffic law, which has succeeded in reducing dramatically car fires by making it compulsory to provide every car with a fire extinguisher. Yet, whenever you go buying a fire extinguisher, you have to make sure it conforms to the Egyptian Standard Specifications. It must also undergo periodic maintenance in accredited centers.
