The new Egyptian traffic law has been fundamental to reduce car losses, as it makes it compulsory to equip cars with fire extinguishers. Such a measure, though, has not been applied to private homes, yet. This makes them exposed to fire dangers, especially in light of the increasing supply of natural gas to Egyptian households. Gas is an additional danger and those providing it should also help households get at least one necessary fire extinguisher. Similar measures have already been taken in other countries and the results are very encouraging.
