Economic policies have become the pivot on which the orientation of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) and its government revolves. In all its conferences, the NDP was keen to stress its continued commitment to economic reform. The „Employment and Investment“ paper discusses two themes: the economic orientation, and farmers and agricultural development.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
The paper stressed that the improvement of economy is the large tributary that feeds the State with more revenues, thus enabling it to extend the scope of public services including health, education and others. This reiterates that improved economic and investment performance is very important in improving the Egyptians‘ standard of living. The paper spotlighted this important issue through the following elements: First, Economic Orientation: policies to encourage investment – investment policies and development of industrial infrastructure in Upper Egypt – State-owned asset and investment management policies – policies to develop the financial sector and facilitate access to finance for growth and employment. Second, Farmer and Agricultural Development: improving the conditions of Egyptian farmers… developments and achievements – Egyptian farmers…. future strategy.
