Although the Government champions the export drive, it should implemented economic reforms. Consequently, investment would thrive, which, in turn, give a fillip to industrial exports. Strategic exports such as oil and gas are consumed quickly, but industrial goods must be carefully marketed and win credibility. Meanwhile, if the State implemented economic reforms, a favourable climate for investment would be created, which, in turn, would help boost industrial exports. However, in order to obtain and maintain a foothold in global markets, industrial exports must meet internationally recognised criteria. Indeed, the best way to advertise a product is to state that it conforms to international quality standards.
