At a conference held by the UNIDO in Vienna on May 18 on the development of the private sector, Egyptian leading businessmen highlighted the importance of small industries in their country. On May 18, the UNIDO held a conference in Vienna on the development of the private sector. Egypt was represented by some of its most prominent businessmen. They highlighted the positive prospect for small industries in Egypt in light of the steps being taken in this regard. They also affirmed that small industries are the fundamental base of Egypt’s pyramid-shaped economy, mentioned the contribution of the Egyptian government to the development of the industrial sector in the country, and finally praised the role of the industrial and private sectors in boosting Egypt’s economic growth.
