Dr. Nader Riad, head of the Arab Federation for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (AFPIPR), outlines the history and achievements of the Federation as well as its current projects. In spite of its young age (it was founded in 2005), the Federation has signed eight cooperation protocols with different Arab organizations and has enlarged dramatically, from 50 to 1,230 members from all over the Arab world. The AFPIPR is also about to open four more branches in the Middle East, bringing their total number to seven.
