The article says the main Egyptian industries do not apply integrated systems of quality and specs control, as producers prefer to use cheap raw materials that they import from Asia so as to reduce costs and increase profits, which results in producing bad quality products. It also says that targets must be set for the Egyptian industry, like the German industry that targets to produce for export purposes, which dictates high quality. It says producers prefer to use cheap raw materials that they import from Asia so as to reduce costs and increase profits, which results in producing bad quality products. The bulbs are a good example of this, whereby 26% of their production is defective. Dr. Nader Riad says that targets must be set for the Egyptian industry and that we should take after the German industry whose target is to produce for export purposes, which dictates a high quality production.
