The Final Communiqué of the Nov. 21-22 Economic Summit and recommendations would be submitted to the next summit of the chiefs of the member states of the “Barcelona Declaration” in Barcelona on Nov. 27-28, 2005. Suggesting the setup of a Euro-Med development bank, the setup of a Euro-Med free trade zone and prompting the application of cooperation agreements between EU and Mediterranean partners are among the most important inputs in the Economic Summit.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF)

The Final Communiqué of the Nov. 21-22 Economic Summit and recommendations would be at the desk of the next summit of the chiefs of the member states of the “Barcelona Declaration” in Barcelona on Nov. 27-28, 2005. Suggesting the setup of a Euro-Med development bank to support SMEs, the setup of a Euro-Med free trade zone, energizing the application of cooperation deals between EU and Mediterranean partners and enhancing human development in South Mediterranean countries at the level of education and training are among the most important inputs in the Economic Summit. A number of big Egyptian names participated in the Summit and made important inputs. The Summit was opened by His Excellency Dr. Pascual Maragall, head of Catalonia Socialist Party and head of Catalonia Regional Government.
