The German and Egyptian presidents are going to attend the signing of the agreement for the establishment of the Egyptian German Business Council. This Council will be made up of high-profile businessmen from both countries. It will mainly aim to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation and to facilitate the transfer of German technology to the Egyptian industry. (Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
Germany and Egypt are about to sign an agreement to found the Egyptian German Business Council. The signing will be attended by the two countries’ presidents during the upcoming visit of the German head of state to Egypt. The Council will include high-profile businessmen from the two countries and will have two locations, one in Berlin and the other in Cairo. It aims to achieve two main goals. One is to contribute to transferring German technology to the Egyptian industry, while the other is to convey the views of both sides’ businesspersons to the two governments in order to increase two-way trade and investments. One of the factors that make this Council so important for Egypt is Germany’s being Europe’s main economic power.
