The Board of Trustees of the College of technology at Matareyyah, district of Cosmopolitan Cairo, held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Eng. Nader Riad. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammad Kamal El Sa’eid and other Board-members including representatives from the business community and institute directors. ( Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
In his opening remarks, Dr. Nader said that the main goal of this first meeting is to develop the curriculums in response to the labor market needs. “The Board will also consider a mechanism to link the various disciplines at the institutes with SMEs”, he continued. Dr. Nader asserted that quality outputs of the educational process are the most significant inputs to the industrial sector. He further noted that it is high time we updated our curriculum in the direction of harmonizing our curriculum content and practicum training tools with those in effect in the developed economies. Dr. Ali Hassan, director of the Matareyyah College of Technology, underscored the need to develop MIS (Management Information Systems) at the institutes.
