Recent statistics have confirmed that the increase in the rates of fires, the loss of life and property, and the negative impacts it has had on the national economy. The perpetrator of fire catastrophes to buildings, facilities, and infrastructures is not known. We know who is behind them and who is responsible. During its meeting headed by General Essam Shabana and attended by officials in charge of the natural gas and fire security at the Governorate Police Department, the Suggestions and Complaints Committee at the City Council of Dakahlia called installing every house in Mansoura with fire extinguishers. This is a first step in fighting fires, particularly after extending natural gas supply to houses, and the remaining cities of the governorate.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )

Reasonable analysis by some experts emphasizes the importance of providing each residence with fire extinguishers. Extending natural gas supply to residences is an additional hazard which did not exist previously. Legally speaking, the entity responsible for the introduction of such dangers is responsible for providing a means of protection against it. Certainly, the existence of tens of fire extinguishers in each building according to the number of residential apartments will be the first line of defense in the case of a fire. This is essential for putting out a fire at its start is easily done by the ordinary person.
