Dr. Hani Barakat, chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) said that the EOS is currently implementing an integrated project for developing the Egyptian specifications system. This would develop Egyptian industry to complete its competitiveness capabilities giving it a more powerful global presence.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF )
The Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) celebrated the World Day for Standardization in the presence of Dr. Nader Riad. Approximately 100,000 factories in Egypt face unfair competition from imported products that do not meet standard specifications. Egypt will adopt the European model for international safety and quality in protecting and controlling the markets. This denies the access of bad quality commodities for the safety and protection of consumers. The EOS working system has significantly improved, resulting in positive impacts on Egyptian industry here and abroad in terms of conformity with global standardization.
