The Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) Engineering and Durable Goods Committee held its first meeting, chaired by Dr. Nader Riad, and head of the CPA, Said Al-Alfi, to discuss the committee’s plan of action during the coming period. Al-Alfi stressed that the strategy is based on restoring discipline to the commercial and industrial activities to respect consumer rights, because manufacturers owe to the Egyptian market.(Available in Arabic – German in PDF)

Al-Alfi stressed that the strategy is based on restoring discipline to the commercial and industrial activities to respect consumer rights, because manufacturers owe to the Egyptian market. The meeting discussed a number of controls and regulations for the work of service and maintenance centers. This included items such as filling in a set of purchase invoices indicating data of the vendor and a one-year quality and guarantee inspection certificate.
