The Arab German Chamber of Industry and Commerce has called for quick modernization of the Egyptian industry. One of the Chamber’s prominent members – Dr. Nader Riad – suggests laying out an industrial plan and taking some specific decisions to tackle the unprecedented challenges facing the Egyptian industry. He believes more pieces of legislation should be enacted to regulate this sector, such as laws on taxes, customs and more. He also pays great attention to funding, as he calls for setting up specific budgets for research as well as an unemployment fund.
