President Mubarak met with business organization leaders to discuss the future of the private sector in order for it to lead development in Egypt. Although each business organization faces its own circumstances and requirements it is apparent that some organizations under new leadership have deteriorated. One event discussed was the attempt to establish a new society for businessmen in al-Obour City, when there was an existing society that had been established 6 months ago. The same situation occurred with businesswomen associations. This was done to either boost competition or shatter the efforts of the previous leadership. The upcoming stage needs to focus on creating an umbrella, controlled by a code of ethics involving the national interest of citizens, consumers, producers and exporters. Recent talks between Egypt and Iran are opening a window for expansion in economic cooperation.
