According to major businessmen, the government has been improving the investment climate. Business costs are down and taxes on commercial and industrial activities have been cut by as much as 50%. Yet, more is required. The government has promised to do more to set out Egypt’s market role in the future and its vision in this regard. Meanwhile, there are calls for reconsidering some laws and unleash production specialization among the Egyptian governorates, so as to boost internal competition and trade among them.
