The quality and quantity of the educational process in the technical and engineering fields are key elements of development. Dr. Nader Riad believes in the importance of continuous education and training for engineers, even after they graduate. Indeed, he suggests sending engineers back to university so that they can keep up to date with the latest innovations in their respective fields of specialization. He also suggests adapting engineering education in the Egyptian universities to that of European ones, thus allowing Egypt to join that educational harmonization that the EU has already achieved among its members states. This would help engineers become real professionals, and their skills would be acknowledged through a work permit renewable only if they meet specific professional and ethical conditions.
