The ten major leaders in the consumer durables and engineering commodities signed the consumer total satisfaction covenant in an initiative to give an example to producers as well as exporters in the Egyptian market. This came during the ceremony made by the Committee for Engineering Commodities and Appliances under Eng Nader Riad and affiliated to the Consumer Protection Agency. Eng Nader Riad hailed the efforts of the Consumer protection agency and the top ten leaders of industry in Egypt who set an example by joining the agreement for the total consumer satisfaction that helps activate the market on the background of threats to the local market due to the financial crisis. The terms of the agreement include setting the guarantee date to commodities for not less than year, organizing after-sale services through accredited maintenance centers listed in the sale documents which include safe operation manuals, lists of spare parts and their code numbers. The agreement also includes the cases per which commodities can be exchanged and the area coverage of maintenance and fixing services during the guarantee period which go according to world standards especially after many complaints of unqualified maintenance centers were received. Galal Zorba, head of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Mohammed al-Masry, head of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce hailed the agreement and its importance in the coming period.
