Before the end of her trip in Cairo, the German Chancellor and President Al-Sisi have attended a big art show at the pyramids area in Giza that embodied the ancient Pharaonic civilization through conveying a message to the world and that Egypt is a safe touristic place. The German Chancellor has enjoyed that charming area whilst listening to the singer Amira Reda who participated with her famous song “Misr El-Gameela B Loun El Qamh” in three languages. Moreover, the show included “Ballet” that mimicked an era of the Pharaonic history; in addition to other folk art shows that included Al-Tanoura dance. The Egyptian-German Business Community forum was held under the auspices of Bavaria and Siemens companies with the participation of Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation and Eng. Tarek Kabil, Minister of Industry. Attendants were also Mohamed El-Sewedy, President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Dr. Nader Riad, President of the Egyptian-German Business Council, as well Ahmed El-Wakeel, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers and Ulrich Huth, President of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Mr.Uwe Beckmeyer, State Secretary of The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs & Energy in Germany, and Mr. Eric Schweitzer, president of the Federation of Commercial and Industrial Chambers in Germany, and Mr. Andreas Hergenröther, CEO of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Mr. Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens; who all described the close Egyptian-German relationship in terms of the amount of funds, value of contracts, and exchanged commodities.
The German Chancellor declared that Egypt is playing a vital role in the region through being a substantial foundation in reinforcing stability in the Middle East; she emphasized that her country is one of Egypt’s important partners in trade and investment attraction, moreover, she expressed her appreciation for witnessing the inauguration of the first phase of three power plants at Beni-Suef, Borollos, and the New Administrative Capital in which Siemens Company has participated in their implementation in a short time. This came during a successful summit held between President Al-Sisi and the German Chancellor.(Available in Arabic- German in PDF)
