As we say farewell to an ambitious year of 2007, we remember the events that took place and the achievements we made at a national, international and global level. Such achievements and events include Mubarak’s decision to give green light to nuclear energy; the development of Egyptian-German cooperation; consolidation of the path to democracy and the rights of citizenship, in addition to a number of increases in tax, tourism, exportation and net currency reserves. As for the events on the global scale, such include the price of gold hitting an all time high in 28 years; inflation strikes the world, and the assassination of the Pakistani opposition leader, in addition to Malta and Cyprus joining the European Union.
